Cortelyou Early Childhood Center/Cortelyou Academy’s students excel because they are encouraged to be and do their best. We instill confidence and encourage them to have fun throughout the learning process and our teachers tap our student’s imaginations and curious minds.

Twos & Threes Year Olds (Tour)

At Cortelyou Early Childhood Centers, we provide an environment conducive to the growth and development of your child.

Admissions visit is required for all applicants. The visit allows applicants and their parents/guardians to learn more about our School.


During tour the visit, applicants, separate from their parent/guardians, will speak with current students, visit classrooms, meet faculty and staff, and complete group activities.


Parents/guardians will hear from the admissions office, a current parent/guardian, Elementary School leadership, and a faculty member. Parents/guardians will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding school culture, curriculum, extracurriculars, food service, and anything else you can think of! If applicable, it is not required for both parents/guardians to attend.


The admissions visit lasts approximately one hour and is scheduled through We encourage applicants to register early.

All UPK applications are completed and submitted through the
DOE's web portal (MySchools). After the
child has been accepted into our school's program, further application documents will be forwarded to you
to fill out. Other documents such as the general information sheet, and health/meal forms will also be
required (found in the Pre-School Application).
