CECC is a premier childcare center located in Flatbush, Brooklyn. We have been serving the children in the community for nearly 40 years. We take pride in providing the children with a stimulating and integrated curriculum, along with social awareness.
We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team. Working alongside and reporting to the Administrative & Educational Directors, you will be responsible for keeping the school organized and efficient while maintaining a professional and friendly environment for parents, students, and staff.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Must be available from 9 am - 6 pm
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with superb accuracy
- Strong administrative skills
- Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person, with our customers and internal departments
- Strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills
- Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, marketing materials and emails
- Manage parent-staff portal; provide staff and parents support when needed
- Upkeep and maintain web and social media content
- Assist Marketing Director with new strategies, plans, and ideas to implement for business growth
- Schedule parent interviews and give tours; assist in the admissions and enrollment process
- Maintain and review student/sta
- Assist in resolving any administrative problems
- Make sure Staff records comply with DOH/DOE regulations
- Take payments and reconcile accounts to report to the Accounts Department
- Display professionalism, and provide exceptional customer service to create a welcoming environment for school visitors and staff
- Successfully manage competing priorities, including main office inquiries, drafting school communications, assisting with school supply inventory, maintaining aesthetics, and successfully planning and executing school events
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
- Excel in verbal and written communication skills, tactfully respond to all communications and remain diplomatic in all interactions
- Be flexible, trustworthy, and can multitask in different environments
- Must be technologically savvy and knowledgeable of different medium including Google, Microsoft, Facebook, IG, etc.
- Have experience creating systems to stay organized and will support in effectively maintaining scholar files and monitoring school culture goals

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year (based on position & qualifications)
